Inlays / Onlays
Inlays/onlays can be made of porcelain, gold, or a composite resin. These pieces are bonded to the damaged area of the tooth. An inlay(which is similar to a filling) lies within the cusps (bumps) on the chewing surface of your tooth. An onlay is larger than an inlay. It replaces one or more decayed cusps.
They can last for 10 years or longer and can be a conservative alternative to a crown.
